Environmental HB with Mary O'Neill

Mary O’Neill was born in Europe. She has lived in New Zealand since August 1998. Mary graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science Environment from the Open Polytechnic in Wellington. She was the Member of the Open Polytechnic Student Advisory Group (2014-2019). This group provides feedback to senior management and Council.
Mary was a DOC volunteer (2014-2018). She made a significant contribution to New Zealand conservation. Her tasks were food preparation, feeding and monitoring kaka (Poutiri Ao ō Tāne Project).
Mary becomes a published author of the South Pacific Marine Mollusca Shell Collection: Exhibition catalogue, in 2008.
Mary started her Environmental Consultancy, in May 2018. She learned a lot where the knowledge gap is in people’s understanding of environmental issues and regulations. For that reason, this monthly radio programme named ‘Environment Hawke’s Bay talk’ has been launched.
