Eurovision Song Contest Special - with David Brown Carr

David Brown Carr will be presenting a series of special programmes about the Eurovision Song Contest.  It’s the world’s longest-running annual international televised music competition, usually watched by some 200 million people around the world. This year, all going well, the 65th annual contest will go ahead in Rotterdam in mid-May, with 39 countries participating.

David Brown Carr presents another special show about the Eurovision Song Contest.  It’s the longest-running annual international music competition, which is usually watched by some 200 million people around the world.

In this show, he will be playing some of his favourite number one Eurovision songs from recent years, including the only winning "song" which started life as an instrumental.

David will also be reporting on the highs and lows of Eurovision 2021, which the Netherlands managed to hold live in Rotterdam, one year after the 2020 contest had to be cancelled because of Covid-19. And you can hear 4 of his favourite entries from this year’s contest, but were any of them the winning song? To find out, listen to his show after the 1 pm news and weather this Saturday here on Radio Kidnappers.

For more information on Eurovision, go to the official website:  This year’s semi-finals and the grand final (4 hours long) are also on-line to view on YouTube.
