David Brown Carr reports on the 68th Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Malmo, Sweden, in May.
David is dedicating this month’s show to Sweden’s neighbour Norway’s musical contribution to the Contest. It joined in 1960 and has so-far won three times. Its entrants have included a carpenter, Belarusian and Irish violinists, a Kenyan-Norwegian singer, rapper and songwriter, an Absent Elk, a Sami rapper from the far north, an outspoken advocate for mental health who suffers from Tourette syndrome, and a dancing elf.
